Day 84: My Little Steampunk

Knowing me, this was inevitable.

In other news, my husband doesn't believe there's such things as "Bronies." Feel free to correct him. VALIDATE ME, INTERNET.

Do you remember that really creepy guy that lived in the dorms after his mission (our second semester) and he always tried to talk to me... and invited me to Idaho to meet his parents even though I'd never really hung out with him?!?! He was creepy! Anyway, after looking up the term "brony" I am pretty sure he was one. Well, it may have been a rainbow bright shirt, but I had some cartoon shirt and he thought he could win my love because he also loved whatever characters were on that shirt. I'd say that even if it was Rainbow Bright instead... he'd still have an equal obsession with My Little Pony. So yes, I will validate you.
Not to mention, did you see that guy who still dresses like a baby and sleeps in a crib at like 35 years old?? If people like him exist, then I don't think there's even a question about bronies!! ;)

Why is "brony" a thing?

I have to side with your husband on this one. I actually watched My Little Pony (there was nothing else on in that time slot -- what, did you want me to go OUTSIDE?). The only times it was interesting for me were the multi-episode storylines in which the entire world was in danger and the ponies had to kick butt.

I suppose, given the sheer size and oddity of the internet and the world it represents, there must be bronies out there somewhere. But if so, I'm not sure I want to know about it.

Jolee - DUDE. I remember the weird Idaho incident! (Although I don't remember his clothes...) And the adult baby guy has haunted my dreams since I saw him. Whenever Preston and I want to scare each other, we bring up adult babies.

Adam - Yeah, we only have one episode on iTunes and my daughter watches the heck out of it. I'm still confused with their social structure. where are the parents of these ponies? Are the horses picked on because they don't have wings or horns? I NEED ANSWERS.

Heather - VENTURE NO FURTHER.

WHOA. LOVE. What's this little pony's name? Cog or Ratchet?

Heh, Keri, those sound like Transformer names :-)

Ha! I didn't even think of a name, but I like Cog! Coggity? Coggity Rainbow Goggle Sparkle.
