Day 92: Cinderella the hopeful

Cinderella lost her shoe, but she was pretty sure someone else stole it.

Day 84: Landa Calrissian

Let's not kid ourselves: would anything really have changed if Lando Calrissian was a woman? I submit to you: no. It would have been awesome. Mustache or not.

Back on track, part two! No more breaks!

Maybe!

Day 77: Sami punk

I love the outfits of the Sami people of Northern Scandinavia.
I do not like coloring past 11pm.
Here's a drawing reflecting those two statements.

Day 70: A quiet night with Fitzgerald

Another fun suggestion from a writer on BooksGetDrawn! It's like taking commissions but instead of getting paid, I can do whatever I want, when I want and they can't request changes. Good trade off! Fun practice. I should get back to kokeshi dolls.

Day 69: Nightblood

Lately I've been enjoying a forum on reddit called "Books Get Drawn"...someone posts a scene from a book they enjoy and volunteers can draw it. It's a great place for inspiration, both drawing and what-to-read next sorts of inspiration.

This scene comes from Brandon Sanderson's novel "Warbreaker." The requester's original post is here. Now I've got to read the actual book!

Day 65: Sunday Selfie! South says sorry...

From my current comic WIP! Once offended, Bob the unicorn requires sincere apologies to get him up and moving again.

Day 62: Come on, grab your friends

The kiddos have been enjoying "Adventure Time" lately. It's such a weird cartoon. I think I love it, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, there's a million interpretations of the main characters Jake and Finn out there...and this is mine. The end. Mathematical!!

Day 59: Sunday Selfie: Snoozes and Snippets...

Good night, crazy kids. Good night, long day. Good night, no inspiration. Good night, no time. Sorry for the quick sketch. A nap should do us all well.

Day 54: Alice in Siharee-land

A little racebent Alice in Wonderland. Zakkie!

I need to work on backgrounds.

P.S. The Chesire Caracal! Alishba! This story is writing itself!

Day 52: My kid, John McClane

I'm not terribly pleased with how this turned out, but at least it's evidence of me trying something new...if not exactly new, then something with which I'm pretty uncomfortable (pure digital, no hand drawn components). I've also learned that my kid looks somewhat like Bruce Willis.

Day 47: The Smolder

I thought of doing Flynn Rider today but then I saw a very cool picture of a Sikh fellow and thought "Hmm, how does one draw a turban?" So. Little of both, maybe.

Day 43: Incoming Game...

Speaking of another show that needs a good *ahem* ReBoot.

It's Bob from ReBoot! REBOOT. I wonder if it'd hold up if I watched it now...(reboot).

Update: The graphics are painful. The story's still good. REBOOT!

Day 38: NOOOOOOOOO

I can't tell if he's seriously in distress or not, like "IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AND MY FAMILY IS TEETERING ON THE EDGE OF THAT CLIFF NOOOOOO" or more like "BUMI DON'T FEED THAT SKYBISON POPROCKS NOOOO"

I guess when you're a parent all levels of distress just kind of mesh together.

Anyways. It's adult Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's supposed to be a Sunday Selfie but I'm taking tomorrow off and posting two today. Woo.

Day 37: "Yer a wizard, Mr. Grinch..."

No, I don't know either.

Day 36: Spooked Hook

Even Lady Captain Hooks don't like crocodiles, however badly drawn.

I really like this Disney-esque style and I'm going to try messing with it for a while. Any suggestions of someone you'd like to see? Don't say the crocodile.

Day 35: Princess Eilonwy

I honestly don't understand why Princess Eilonwy (from "The Black Cauldron") is not a canon Disney Princess. We should march on Disneyland. Canonize Eilonwy! Canonize Eilonwy!

Day 34: Fix-it...Cratchit?

The unholy union of a viewing of Disney's "A Christmas Carol" while listening to the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack: Fix-It Felix meets Bob Cratchit. Aaaand...I'm out.

Day 33: Schmendrick the Magician

"I am called Schmendrick, the Magician! You won't have heard of me."

Okay, I'm done with The Last Unicorn now, I swear.
